FAST/RIT Rescue Blanket-Stretcher
  The
HOT•STOP® FAST/RIT Rescue
Blanket-Stretcher is a multi-use tool designed for use in rescue operations.
At only 19 pounds, the blanket is small and lightweight and easily carried
by one member. At 9" inches in diameter and 29" long, it will fit in any
truck compartment.
  The
HOT•STOP® FAST/RIT Rescue
Blanket-Stretcher is designed to offer exposure protection to a
victim during bottle changeover and extrication. By placing the blanket over
the victim foil side up the victim will have protection from radiant heat up
to 1000°F, water runoff and debris. The blanket will also
protect from direct flame contact. With the 8 tote style handles on the
blanket, members can improvise by hanging the 56" x 8' blanket as a
protective blanket between the operation and any flame source.
 Once
the victim is freed and ready to be transported, the HOT•STOP® FAST/RIT Rescue
Blanket-Stretcher acts as a protective stretcher. The victim is placed
inside the blanket stretcher and secured with the 2 webbing straps with
velcro closure. By passing the webbing under the shoulder straps of the
SCBA, the victim is secured even while ascending and descending stairs.
  There
are numerous options for transporting the victim in the HOT•STOP® FAST/RIT Rescue
Blanket-Stretcher. By passing the long strap handles through the end tote
handle one member can drag a victim to safety. The same can be performed by
two members, allowing the victim to be carried.
  Heavy duty construction ensures the
HOT•STOP® FAST/RIT Rescue
Blanket-Stretcher will be up to the job. Woven aramid strap handles are sewn into the 8’ hem making
them an integral part of the blanket. 3 tote handles on each 8’ side and one handle on each end
allow for a variety of carrying options. Each corner and tote handle is reinforced with nickel
plated steel rives. An aramid strap is sewn to the inner lining of HOT•STOP®"H"
across the 56” width with straps ending in the 8’ hem. Webbing with velcro is sewn to the cross reinforcing strap
for added durability.
